A Fall Romance in Telluride

Karen & Brendan | September 30th  |  Telluride, Colorado

From the bride, Karen:
We felt the most romantic time to have a wedding was in the fall, highlighting rich jewel tones and our love of the outdoors. Our day was perfect!  The aspens were ablaze in gold and yellow against a bright blue sky on a warm 70 degree September day. Our ceremony took place at the San Sophia Overlook which is perched at 10,500 ft and is surrounded by the Sneffles Range that frames Telluride to the north & the Wilsons Range to the south, with magnificent views of the town of Telluride 1,800 ft below. We  were able to sneak away into town during coctail hour and have some pictures taken of just the two of us which also gave us some private time together after the wedding.

-Our dog jack was our ring bearer and was walked down the aisle by our junior bridesmaid and flower girl.

-We choreographed our first dance to “Fly Me to the Moon”.  The band started out slow then picked up the beat so we could swing dance. Our guests were really surprised!

-My husband, Brendan, is really creative and made signs pointing towards the ceremony site and a just married sign for the gondola (our means of transportation!).

-Brendan also made cones to hold rose petals that guests were able to toss for our recessional. They had the music “All you need is love” printed on them, which the string quartet played.
