DIY in the Rocky Mountains
Megan & Brent | July 21st | Granby, Colorado
From the bride, Megan:
Our wedding was very DIY (handmade decor) and our family and friends were the ones setting up both our ceremony and reception on the day of the wedding.
My bouquet was made with family brooches. It was absolutely stunning, and went perfect with my wedding colors/look of our wedding. My favorite part about the bouquet was the attached charm of my late grandmother. My grandmother had always been an important part of my life, and having her in my bouquet made me feel like she was there with me. It was special (I’m tearing up as I am writing this).
When we arrived at the ceremony site I felt super anxious, but ready to be married.
The ceremony was flawless.
The reception was a lively atmosphere; our favorite music was playing, everyone was in high spirits, and we danced late into the night. We capped the night off with s’mores at the fire pit. It was a perfect way to end the night!
Basic Kneads Pizza, a Denver food truck, made wood-fired pizza on site.
Brent always asks me if I would put myself through the stresses of wedding planning again and I always give him the same answer. I would do it in a heartbeat.
