Jessica & Garrett  |  June 30th |  Denver Botanic Gardens

From the bride, Jessica:
From the beginning, I worked on every aspect of the wedding from invitations, to placecards, to table settings, to wedding party attire, and decorations. I wanted it to be unique and personal and to reflect our desire for our guests to truly enjoy the day with us.  We both love gardening and wanted that theme carried throughout wedding details.

I found some old pieces of wooden fence that I painted into the “kissing tree” sign and into a directional sign with arrows for “dinner”, “dancing”, “drinks & bar”, and “restrooms”. One was place right in front of a beautiful pine tree. This really gave it a Colorado touch!

The ceremony was in the Romantic Garden of the Denver Botanic Gardens. It was the perfect setting for us because we both love gardening. Violin music entertained the 110 guests until the wedding party arrived. We were blessed to have our Aunt Barbara officiate the service. Her detailed knowledge of us allowed for a very intimate and sometimes humorous ceremony. The beauty of the garden was all we needed for decor.

We decided to use shades of blue, green and clear glass bottles with stems of wildflowers for the centerpieces. We had everyone on the hunt for unique shaped green and blue bottles several months leading up to the wedding.

Jessica’s RECOMMENDED VENDORS

Ceremony Site: Denver Botanic Gardens, York Street Location, Romantic Garden. This is an amazing site to get married in! It’s so beautiful without any added decorations and your guests will enjoy a place they can explore on their own. It makes it romantic for everyone!

Photographer: Rachel Havel Photography. Rachel and Tom did an amazing job! They impressed us with their creativity and making the photos personal to us. The best choice of our wedding was choosing Rachel Havel Photography to capture our memories! Before I got married the one big piece of advice I got was to make sure you get a good photographer. I couldn’t agree more. The way the memories are captured in the photos, is what you will have to look at forever. We made a great choice!

Florist: DebBee’s Garden. Debbie and Neva are two women you can trust to do your flowers for your big day! I told them the theme of the wedding and color ideas and they came up with the rest! I wanted to be surprised a little by what they created. Couldn’t have been better!

Tent & Party Rentals: Butler Rents. If I had another big event to plan, I would go with Bulter again! They came through during a last minute situation and had everything we needed. They were on time and fair with prices.

Hair Stylist: Candace Bachara. I loved my hair! My bridesmaids looked gorgeous too! Candace did an amazing job. No matter what the occasion or theme Candace can make it happen!

Guest Lodging: Marriott Denver West. Great hotel, good prices, very friendly!

Honeymoon Location: Akumal, Mexico. This was a quiet, romantic little town. Perfect for relaxing after the big day! We rented a condo on the beach.
