Down-to-Earth in Eagle

Katie & Patrick  |  August 14th  | Eagle, Colorado

From the photographer, Emmy of Searching for the Light Photography:
The feel of this wedding was very down-to-earth and handmade. Kate is a DIY girl and an extremely creative one at that! The whole wedding party wore cowboy boots. Kate wore flowers in her hair, which sweetly accented her lace dress. The backdrop of the mountainous valley put the cherry on the top of this absolutely beautiful wedding.

Katie wrapped her bouquet in burlap and twine. SL02

The wedding party was transported from the ceremony to the reception site via a horse-drawn wagon.

Instead of a guestbook, Kate had a wire tree planted in a pot where guests signed a luggage tag and then hang it on the tree.  The seating chart was an old window.SL07

Burlap table runners, mason jar glasses, and slabs of wood adorned the tables.SL08

The napkins were hand-cut and used later to make a quilt.
