Boulder Bike Wedding
Heather & Jeremy | October 18th | Boulder, Colorado
From the bride:
We are adventure racers and avid mountain bikers so we wanted a bike theme. We kept our wedding small and spent quality time with each quest.
We just put a new succulent garden in our landscape and thought it would be great to use succulents instead of the normal flowers.
The snow was unexpected, but made for a very unique day!
We had a small ceremony. We wrote our own vows that didn’t leave a dry eye in the area. We had a dear friend marry us as an acoustic guitar was playing. It was very natural, very emotional. Very calm and down to earth. We are both outdoor people so it was truly about us, who we are.
Right as the ceremony started, two bald eagles were flying overhead, then a mist covered us, it was breathtaking!
I loved riding our tandem antique bike in the snow, in my dress. Unforgettable!
I made our guest book, which was a framed image of a tandem bike – with strings up in the sky – people used their thumb/finger print to create the balloon at the end of the string and signed their name by it.
I also made all of the succulent place holders, they were a real little cactus in galvanized pails with cute little signs on them.
Our advice: Don’t get caught up in the drama. Make it about you.
