From the bride, Jaime: We are laid back and very outdoorsy so a princess gown and formal setting wouldn’t reflect anything about us. We wanted rustic natural elegance with a casual and comfortable feel that celebrated our life together in Colorado. We chose the wedding date that was the anniversary of my paternal grandparents.
We looked at many venues, but the moment I saw Twin Owls Steakhouse I was sure it was the place. For the first time in a million tours Brad wasn’t with me, but we quickly returned a few days later and his reaction was the same. The Twin Owls Steakhouse offered an intimate and gorgeous setting with a smooth flow between sites and lodging on the property. It was the perfect scenario for out of town guests to stay for a long weekend and convenient for our Colorado friends to come for the day.
I took on my own approach of imagining myself as a guest and what I would need/ like/ expect at a wedding. Excel was by far my saving grace, keeping things organized, and a few tips from friends established my timeline.
Our ceremony took place with the amazing backdrop of Lumpy Ridge mountain vista.
A perfect gust of wind blew just when it was time to kiss.
We tucked hand-tied bundles of fresh rosemary and purple status in every napkin.
I felt the size (100 guests) and the intimate venue was perfect and encouraged all of our guests to meet one another and interact. I had the time of my life and felt our guests did too.
