Fred & Nicole |  July 14th  | Lyons, Colorado

From the photographers, Elevate Photography:
Fred and Nicole didn’t just want to have just another normal wedding. They wanted to hold a music festival worthy marriage, hence, “The Frecole Fest” was born. Every detail proved to be deserving of this theme. The venue itself, Planet Bluegrass Ranch couldn’t have been a more perfect spot for the lovebirds to declare their intentions to all of their favorite people. This wedding had some of the prettiest flowers (by Cori Cook) and fun bright colors that we’ve ever seen. It was such a blast for McCory James to photograph as Fred and Nicole know all about how to have a good time, and to show their authentic love in front of the camera.

From the bride, Nicole:
FRECOLE FEST 2012 was a whimsical, festival-themed wedding alongside the North St. Vrain River. The picture-perfect day included bikes, lawn games, homemade hula hoops, fruit pie, a silo and live music from start to finish.
Elevate Photography18My bouquet was wrapped in vintage French Alsace lace taken from a passed-down wedding dress in my family. The lace was also incorporated in the neckline of the flower girls’ dresses, hand-sewn into my wristlet, and leftover pieces were used to decorate the dessert table.

Hundred foot Redstone cliffs provided the backdrop for the ceremony, and the occasional shout-out from a passing kayaker/float trip prompted cheers and laughter from the audience.

We made vintage signs using lumber from an old school house that paired nicely with the rustic ranch details.

A Spice of Life catering created a unique, completely vegetarian menu, and the dessert table was an assortment of in-season fruit pies from Shamane’s Bake Shoppe .

Savory Spice Shop provided hand-crafted seasonings for the official party favors. The spice packets, which were hand-tied with twine and featured the couple’s name and wedding date, boasted landmark Colorado names like Wash Park and Colorado Plateau.
