Jenna & Daniel |  July 15th  | Denver, Colorado

From the bride, Jenna:
The day Dan asked me to marry him it was the easiest decision in the world. Once I began to plan the wedding, it all quickly became some of the hardest decisions to make. Neither Dan or I had been to many weddings before our own, so we had no idea what to expect or the sheer volume of things I had to consider when planning a wedding. I remember feeling so overwhelmed by the extensive collection of content just on the internet alone. Just to bring a bit more perspective into just how tremendous this project would be for me, my fiance and I live in Australia and we were planning a wedding on the other side of the world in Denver, Colorado.

Dan and I were engaged for about a year and a half – a bit longer than the average engagement these days, but I needed every minute of it to plan the wedding from the other side of the world! The theme I had envisioned for our wedding was a beautiful and whimsical vintage garden party. I am a graphic designer, so I quickly became so obsessed with so many beautiful patterns, colors, decorations and even the perfect typefaces to recreate my inspiration. I wanted a big collection of colors and textures, nothing was supposed to match exactly, but it all was supposed to compliment each other perfectly.

The one thing we knew was that this day was going to be so special for us that we wanted to keep the wedding small for our very close family. We chose to have our wedding at the beautiful Denver Botanic Gardens {Rockstar Venue}.

On the day of the wedding everything went so smoothly. I was able to get ready relaxed and laughing with my sisters and my mom as we sipped champagne together.

For my something borrowed and something blue my beautiful mother lent me her amazing blue sapphire ring and it was perfect! I am very close to my mom, so it meant everything to me to have her by my side the whole day. It was so special for me to share that special moment with her when she presented me with the ring, but to have that moment captured in our photos and our video will be something I will treasure forever!

Then came the moment were it all had to come together and get me to my wedding, then I got nervous! When I finally got to the gardens before the wedding, seeing how beautifully everything actually did come together just took my breath away! I couldn’t believe it looked exactly how I had envisioned it! It was such an enchanting sight, I felt like it was a dream. The gardens were a stunning scene to set the tone, but the combination of all of my designs and the decorations created the lighthearted mood I hoped to achieve. The centerpieces and flowers turned out amazing and the decor was stunning!

The whole day went on without a hitch and it was the so much fun to spend with our families and all of our amazing nephews and nieces, but of course the day went by so fast, we wish it could have lasted a little bit longer. It was a day we will cherish for the rest of our lives and are so grateful that we were able to have so many people be a part of our wedding.
