Colorado Chic

Kimberly & Ethan | September 24th | Sedalia, Colorado

From the bride:
We met while attending an aeronautical university in Florida. He was my first flight instructor. Some people think it’s scandalous, but we think it’s serendipitous!

Our wedding was really an homage to our beautiful state. We called it Colorado Chic.

We are both pilots, so we incorporated aviation into the invitations, seating cards and decor. We did engagement photos at Wings Over the Rockies Air Museum and used those in the invitations.

We both lost close family members at a young age and enjoyed the opportunity to honor them during the ceremony. We had photographs of them displayed and lit candles as an acknowledgement of there continued influence and presence, if just in spirit, on our special day.

The view of Pikes Peak was a perfect backdrop for the ceremony and we loved providing that atmosphere for our guests.  A good family friend officiated the ceremony and we wrote our own vows.

For decor, we had folded paper airplanes spiraling from aspen logs filled with flowers.

The seating cards were beautifully folded paper airplanes.

The food, drinks and atmosphere were wonderful. The view of the mountains and the sunset were the perfect setting for dinner.
