Kim & Chris | September 14th | Telluride, Colorado
From the bride:
We both love to travel, see live music and spend time outdoors so, for our wedding we wanted an intimate event with our closest friends and relatives n the mountains. Telluride is known for its quaint beauty, world-class resorts, and amazing music festivals. We had always wanted to go. When we found out the Telluride Blues and Brews Festival was coming up, it was a done deal; we would have a beautiful mountain destination wedding and stay for our honeymoon and the festival!
The style of our wedding followed the setting— beautiful, but not pretentious. We wanted to bring out our passions for music, good food, good beer, good people, and the natural beauty of the destination.
I think my favorite moment was our mountaintop first dance. Since we weren’t having a traditional wedding reception (opting instead for a dinner at our favorite restaurant and an after-party at a historic saloon) we weren’t going to have a normal dance. But the First Dance is always my favorite part of weddings, so I had to fit one in somehow. The restaurant was too small— so we decided to take advantage of the amazing ceremony location and have our first dance on top of the mountain directly following the ceremony. We danced to Van Morrison’s ‘Steal My Heart Away’. It was unforgettable.
