From the bride, Jane:
Our wedding was held at the Eureka Lodge (an old coal miner’s lodge) just outside of Silverton. My sister and a wonderful friend were the masters of ceremonies. We had very heartfelt, but humorous vows. The ceremony was outside overlooking the most beautiful view. The pulpit was an old whiskey barrel.
It started raining as soon as we finished taking our photos. Dinner (which my mom cooked with lots of help from our family and friends) was delicious. Drinks were served in wine glasses and mason jars. My dad sang “Don’t Worry Be Happy” for his speech. During our first dance our 100lb German Shepherd joined in. The rain let up just as the serious dancing started. We removed the tarp from overhead. The white lights and stars where beaming and the party began. It was the best night of our life.
-Invitations were homemade on recycled paper bags.
-Our centerpieces were photo cubes with pictures of Scott and I with family and friends throughout our life.
-Instead of cake, we served milk and my mom’s homemade sugar cookies.
