A Handmade Wedding at The Barn at Evergreen

From the bride. Ally:
We had our wedding in the middle of June, on a rainy, 550-degreeday that surprisingly turned out perfect. We are both outdoorsy, active people and got engaged while snowboarding, so we wanted to keep that casual, Colorado, fun theme throughout the ceremony and reception. We had a small, family-only ceremony in an open field (no music, chairs, props, etc) and then headed over to the reception for a barn party, complete with BBQ and dancing! Because of the strong DIY, vintage theme that I incorporated, we saved a lot of money and were able to take a two-week adventure honeymoon to Costa Rica!

We wanted to have a photo booth instead of a guest book, so I bought chalk boards, chalk and erasers and set up an area in the corner for the pictures to be taken. I raided my mom’s old dress-up clothes and borrowed hats to make up the ensemble options for the photos. I also made mustaches on a stick to honor my husbands love for mustaches. I purchased a chandelier to give the area some ambiance, as well. RECOMMENDED VENDORS:
