From the bride, Karen:
Todd and I visited Telluride for my birthday a few years earlier and had an amazing weekend. Many of our friends and family who have grown up in Colorado had never been to Telluride so we wanted to share this beautiful place with them. We knew they would enjoy everything Telluride had to offer – and they did!

We wanted to have a sunset during our reception but knew it was possible we might get rain or overcast skies. So we decided to go with a sunset color scheme just to make sure.  The weather turned out to be absolutely gorgeous and the sunset was unbelievable, one of the best we’ve ever seen.

-Todd created our logo. Our names were surrounded underneath by hills and above by
mountains. Wedding rings were used as the setting sun.  We placed the logo on our invitations, programs and on dozens of candles that decorated the reception space.

-Our wedding was going to be at 4:00pm. Just a few days before, we realized that if we moved the time up by 15 minutes, our wedding would be at 3:45 on 06/07/08. So we did.

-We named our guest tables after different mountain peaks surrounding Telluride.

-It was so special to have my 87 year old grandmother in attendance.  She traveled all the way from Canada to be a part of our day.

-Todd’s parents bought us beautiful champagne glasses in Telluride with gold flecks in the stems that we used for our toasts. It takes several people several days to make each glass by hand.
