From a Venice Proposal to a Colorado Wedding
Ali & Austin | May 8th
From the bride: I have watched proposal videos for so long, Austin always complained that I have seen everything that could have possibly been done. Well, I went with my family on vacation in Europe. On our fourth day, we arrived in Venice, Italy. Our first stop on the streets of Venice were at San Marco Plaza, one the most iconic places in Venice. Out of the huge crowd of people, my mom suddenly pointed to a handsome man with a suite case on the other side of the plaza. I thought, “Oh my gosh, is that Austin?!” After a double take, I took off running through the crowd to see my boyfriend who I wasn’t expecting to see for 10 more weeks. All of sudden, he was on one knee asking me to marry him. It was too many surprises for my heart to handle and I still get emotional thinking about it to this moment. Needless to say, he topped all of the combined videos I have ever watched on proposals.
Fast forward one year….
We chose a color palette of Tiffany, anthracite grey and white.
The weather wasn’t perfect, but it turned out great for pictures.
I definitely cried the most walking down the aisle with my dad! MY favorite memory was reading our personal vows to each other.
My favorite detail was the Tiffany box cake centerpieces!
My Advice: Make sure you have all the parties (bridal, bachelorette, engagement, etc.), they are SO fun! Don’t stress about the planning. Take in the little moments, like picking out invites, tasting cake, and trying dresses on with your mom… you never really do any of that again!
