Colorado Country Vintage

Anna & Danny  |  June 23rd  |  Colorado Springs, Colorado

From the bride, Anna:
We got married on my parent’s ranch in the countryside facing Pikes Peak. Our wedding had a country feel with lots vintage details and pastel colors – creams, soft petal pinks, light greens, and browns.

Most of the wedding was DIY! Such as the signs, the doorway entrance, the altar and the cross. We also decorated the ceremony and reception with mason jars filled with flowers. The bouquets and boutonnieres we made ourselves, as well as special vintage bracelets for all the women in our families.

One of my favorite details was having hay bales for seats at the ceremony.

When the ceremony started, my dad drove me to the entrance in a blue 1950 Chevy pickup. He helped me out and walked me down the aisle. I will never forget those few special moments we had in the car together before he gave me away.

My bridesmaids wore a selection of lace vintage dresses.

I loved all the vintage things we had at the reception, like the typewriter, old TV and gift dresser.

My favorite food was the spiced nuts my grandma made that we served in pretty paper cones.

My advice: Get a good photographer!! The dress you wear once- only to box it up when you’re done, the flowers die and the cake is gone, but you will always have your photos.
