Styled Shoot: Boho Irish

From the designer, Cydney Johnson of Stiletto Events:
Throughout the entire shoot, you see pieces dedicated to the Irish Wedding traditions…such as the hand bells, Irish prayers and horse shoes. Each detail was carefully crafted to give a simplistic Irish and Saint Patrick’s Day feel…but not go overboard as we knew could easily be done. We didn’t want the Irish style to scream green, and with the wedding color of the year being Emerald, we decided to play on the pops of Emerald rather than making it a main color.

We also pulled in many DIY and money saver aspects.  For instance, we paid a total of $3 for the headpiece by purchasing a piece of tulle from a local fabric store and a fake flower to give it that Boho flare. It was important that each detail of the style shoot was easily obtainable for any budget.

After all was said and done, the entire shoot was fantastic! Each vendor who was involved played a vital role in making the look and feel exactly as we had hoped. We lucked out on having an absolutely gorgeous and perfect day weather wise…which is always questionable during the winter in Colorado.

Styled Shoot: Cozy Winter Vintage

Flannel & cowboy boots combined with soft pastels and vintage elements has us ready to find a great book and cozy up next to the fireplace this weekend.

From the designer, Kelly of Good Ol’-Fashioned Party:
In these cold winter months, sometimes the most romantic thing to do is grab a warm cup of cocoa, cuddle up in a flannel, tug on those boots, sing at the piano, and of course get married. Often times winter is associated with the color white, but we wanted to use bursts of color to warm up this winter weathered shoot. From plush comfy chairs, twinkly lights, our luxurious vintage couch and an overflow of candles, to our sun-filled room and flannel attire; we wanted each and every detail to create an atmosphere that was cozy, fun, and romantic all wrapped in a vintage composition.

Styled Shoot: On the Prairie

We absolutely love the setting of this week’s styled shoot… it’s not the mountains, but Colorado’s prairies have a special beauty all their own.  There’s something about the wide-open fields where you can see forever that exude this romantic yet very organic vibe.

From the photographer, Lisa Anne Photography:
Within Colorado’s rustic backgrounds this bridal portrait resembled something out of a romantic novel. Using the glorious lighting of a beautiful morning, this shoot was classic bridal elegance. With some small vintage touches, a glorious gown, and a majestic open field, a bride can feel nothing short of fabulous.
