Styled Shoot: Romantic Country Elegance

From the photographer, Alea Lovely Fine Art Photographer:
A little bit of country, a little bit of elegance. We got away from the rustic look and found a more romantic way to fit this wedding. With bright colors and eye catching details, my team and I put together a styled shoot that a bride from any region could get on board with.

The dress by Ivy and Aster was a great complement to the shoot. With laser cut layers and a gorgeously detailed beaded cape, it was a super light and airy gown and also perfectly falls in line with the bridal fashion trending right now.  Alea02

The invites were watercolor with a modern approach to the RSVP card. Alea03 Alea04

I loved the cake table. The three cakes with ombre details and soft pastels was a new spin on the traditional one cake. Stunning florals accented the unfinished wooden top table and the “bride and groom” mannequins brought a very unique accent to the table.Alea05

The reception table was a worn blue table and we used purple napkins to contrast the colors of the florals. Old silverware was placed next to the gold-lined plates for a subtle juxtaposition of classic and antique. There were great food details like the mini open fruit pies, pecan desserts, and a peach signature drink with actual sliced peaches in it.Alea09Alea10Alea11

A Bohemian Romance in the Forest

David and Lynn, of David Lynn Photography, teamed up with Jamie, of Jamison Gale Photography, to create this romantic bohemian shoot in the forest. Lynn and Jamie share a love of weddings that revolve around the sweetness and softness of romance. Their shared vision for the shoot combined romance with a love of all things bohemian and eclectic ~ flowing gowns, flowers tucked loosely in the bride’s long braid, mismatched china, and antique treasures that bring meaning, culture and history to the modern. They couldn’t imagine being anywhere other than the forest, with bits of snow topping the earth and pine needles scattered everywhere. It was the perfect setting for a gorgeous, detail-rich shoot!

DavidLynn01From the photographers: What an incredible experience we had bringing this dream to reality! The day we visited Boettcher Mansion, fog had settled all around, and the white of the fog began mixing with the white of the snow. Walking around the forest grounds felt so ethereal, and we knew right away that it was the perfect location for the shoot. As the snow melted, we were able to bring our beautiful details into the forest. We love the look of soft, romantic colors and chose a color palette incorporating pink, cream, peach, mint, and a dark purple accent. DavidLynn02 DavidLynn03

DavidLynn04We used a gorgeous barnwood table from Chairished Vintage Rentals to create our tablescape, and Vintage Rentals Denver brought such treasures to the table! Mismatched china plates and teacups, antique napkins, place card holders made from wine bottle corks, and vintage armchairs for the bride and groom. Pink Posey Design adorned the tables and chairs with their floral masterpieces, and a delicate stem was tied to each cloth napkin with twine.DavidLynn05 DavidLynn06 DavidLynn07 DavidLynn08 DavidLynn09We placed the wedding cake and other tasty confections atop a vintage sewing machine table, while driftwood woven with cream-colored roses hung high above.  DavidLynn10 DavidLynn11 DavidLynn12 DavidLynn13 DavidLynn14 DavidLynn15Our final vignette began with flowers spilling from teacups that hung on tree branches, with a vintage suitcase filled with blooms and books of love poems, and a birdcage place card holder rested nearby.
