Head-over-Heels in Love

Kelly & Ryan |  July 25th  |  Estes Park, Colorado

We adore so many things about this wedding, from the outdoor ceremony with a mountain backdrop to the royal blue and lime color palette, but the one detail that really stands out… could this couple be any happier… their love for one another is so obvious and that’s what this day is all about, LOVE!

Sunset Vows at Garden of the Gods

Photography by Paige Eden Photography

From the bride, Kiera:
Our ceremony was held poolside at the Garden of the Gods Club.  With the Rocky Mountains and 14,110 foot high Pikes Peak in the background, we said ‘I do’ as the sun set over the vibrant red rocks of the Garden of the Gods.

PERSONAL TOUCHES
-I had a friend create a personalized map of Colorado Springs with little pictures/details of where all the events for the weekend were held as well as how to get there. They were put in all the welcome bags that guests received when they arrived at the resort.

-My something “old” was a Cartier diamond bracelet from the 40’s passed down through my family.

-Our favors were caramel apples from the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory with dark chocolate “Z”s on them for our last name.

-We had a live band { Manea Porinesia } playing Hawaiian music.

Love at Ski Tip Lodge

Anne & Gregory  |  October 10th  |  Keystone, Colorado

From the bride:
We knew that we wanted a venue with a rustic and outdoorsy feel.  On a ski trip, we found the Ski Tip Lodge in Keystone and fell in love with its old world charm.  We also liked the fact that the Lodge took care of the food, liquor, cake, ceremony and reception set-up.

Photography by Julie Harris Photography

Our ceremony was set outdoors, on the lawn of the lodge, overlooking an emerald green pond, with the majestic mountains in the background.  We booked for October 10th, knowing that the weather would be a bit cooler with a potential for snow.  However, on the day of, it was 50 degrees and sunny.Together, Greg and I composed the ceremony using elements taken from a traditional Irish “Loving Cup” ceremony, a combined Christian and secular ceremony.  We wanted it to be personalized as opposed to standardized. WORDS OF WISDOM
Hire a wedding planner and pay for a good seamstress. Also: Breathe and take a moment to step back, listen and watch.  It was the best day of our lives, which leads me to also say – do not skimp on the price of the photographer.  The images will last a lifetime and will be there to remind you of the day when your memory starts to fade.
