Engagement Shoot: A Romantic Adventure

Emily & Kevin  |  Cherry Creek State Park, Colorado

From the photographer, Jessica Christie Photography
The original inspiration from this shoot came from the car that I found, a Karmann Ghia. Some local friends owned the car and allowed us to use it. Instead of placing the car in a typical scene, I wanted more nature as if the couple was going for a ride. It was a fun shoot, and Emily and Kevin had a lot of their own ideas. We explored Cherry Creek State Park, and what originally was a few concept photographs with the car turned into an adventure. We found the small beach in the park and Emily was very excited to take photos by the water. As the sun was setting, it made the perfect backdrop for a couple’s shoot. Emily and Kevin are head over heals in love. I loved getting to watch their giggles and inside jokes as I photographed them. They were so comfortable with each other that it made for an amazing shoot.

Engagement Shoot: Icy Romance

We are loving the location of this week’s engagement shoot held at The Ice Castles in Silverthorne, Colorado.  Dayvid and Murielle were engaged at a Denver Nuggets game, while the entire crowd watched on the JumboTron.  They wanted a unique backdrop for their engagement photos and we’d say they found the perfect location.  The colorful blue hues of the ice created a romantic glow that looks amazing in their images from Life is Art Photography.

Engagement Shoot: Fall in Crested Butte

From the bride-to-be, Tamara:
Jack and I decided Crested Butte would be the perfect location for our engagement session. Not only is Fall one of the most beautiful times of the year in the Rocky Mountains, but it will always be a special place for us, as we have made it a regular trip every year since we first started dating. It was a beautiful fall weekend, the aspens colors were at their peak, we found a perfect spot deep into the mountains, and just had fun with it. We wanted to capture the raw, rustic beauty of Colorado along with our earthy style and love for each other and the outdoors – and we are so happy our photographer, Chad Galloway did just that!
