Pretty in Boulder

 Anne & Mark |  July 30th  |  Boulder, Colorado

From the event planner, Talia Events:
As I look back at notes I took during my first meeting with Anne, I wrote down the following—”natural to the degree that it’s comfortable, casual but classy with touches of charm and nostalgia” and a note with a star next to it that she really likes things that are pretty. The “pretty” for their big day was inspired by their home that’s filled with light, pale colors, touches of the rustic and distressed and lots of baskets and picture frames; her travels to France and their mutual travels around the country; and her love of flowers. Their trips and love of travel showed up in understated ways—a suitcase for postcard love notes, tables named for favorite places and luggage tag-inspired escort cards. France was brought in through the ticking runners and the dessert bar filled with French and Italian sweets and a variety of patisserie and boulangerie signs. Anne  framed old photos of family members as homage to her love of her family.  For a nostalgic touch, she wrapped glass votives in lace and buttons to accompany clusters of bottles filled with brightly colored flowers on the reception tables. As a personal thank you to their family and friends, each guest received a handmade cloth bag of treats tied with lace and a little thank you tag. In the end, it was certainly a wedding graced with love for each other and family and friends, nostalgia, and plenty of pretty!

Destination Colorado

Liz & Brad | June 24th | Evergreen, Colorado

From the bride:
We thought Evergreen was the perfect place to give our both our guests and our wedding the mountain feel without being a super long drive for all of our guests who were flying across the country to get here!
I used buttons in my bouquet that I had collected during my childhood.our First Look…

Memorable Moment: When I walked down the aisle with my Dad, the sun came out from behind the clouds. We wanted a personalized ceremony so we wrote our own vows and kept them a secret until our wedding day.  Our golden retriever, Bailie, was our ring bearer. It was amazing to have our friends and family come together from all over the country for our special day.  A lot of our friends and family were upset when Brad and I decided to move out to Colorado, but once they saw how gorgeous it is here and how happy we are here, they understood and are already hoping to come back soon for a visit. It was so wonderful during our first dance to look up and see the faces of our family and friends looking down on us. Butterflies & Sunflowers in the Pines

Kerri & Doug | June 7th |  Golden, Colorado

From the bride:
We decided to have an intimate celebration of our commitment to each other.  We also wanted to be outside in a natural setting among the pines. We wanted our families to have fun and have a reunion type feel. The day was beautiful, sunny, and the perfect temperature.  We privately shared our personal vows to each other before the ceremony.Every guest got to release a butterfly during the ceremony too while Doug and I released ours. Overall, both Doug and I had more fun at the wedding than we ever thought possible. RECOMMENDED VENDORS
