From the photographer, Chris McLaughlin: It rained and rained and then finally let up moments before the ceremony started. The bride, Mandy, had her heart set on an outside ceremony so we rushed a few chairs outside, had the guests gather around, and pulled off a last minute miracle!
From the photographer, Taylor Jones Photography: Will you go to prom with me?…
A high school romance turned to wedding bells after David first laid eyes on Kristin during passing period at Arapahoe High School. The two high school sweethearts were Warrior basketball players. Summer love flew by in a breeze and before they knew it they were headed in opposite directions for college. They decided to go their separate ways and pray there was a chance in their future. Kristin went on to be a registered nurse while David graduated with a chemical engineering degree. Years had passed with out seeing or talking to one another.
Kristin was visiting a friend in San Francisco and learned that David had moved there after college for work. They met, shared their stories and hopes and dreams. He shared with her that not a day had gone by that he didn’t think of their adventures and her smile. Kristin went back to Colorado and David continued to show his love for her. They knew this relationship would be difficult unless one of them moved. Kristin applied to a job in San Francisco and before they knew it they were finally in the same city and in love.
After being in San Francisco for a couple years David proposed. He said,”You are my best friend, my love, and I could not imagine a day in my life with out you. Will you marry me?””Yes!” They celebrated with a bottle of champagne and took in the beautiful day as it would be one to remember forever and ever.”
From the bride: We were married in a meadow with the mountains as our backdrop. We adorned the ceremony structure with clusters of sunflowers and a crystal chandelier. During the ceremony, one lonely cloud showed up and dumped on us so umbrellas were hastily handed out as we exchanged vows under the raindrops. Fortunately, as a bride, I was so happy to be getting married that I giggled instead of cried.

Sasha & Chauncey | March 12th | Denver, Colorado
From the bride: We wanted the wedding to represent us as much as possible and in every aspect. The food was unique, our music was special (mainly to us), and the venue had a cool, industrial vibe that definitely stood out.
THE CEREMONY: Our ceremony was beautiful, short, and sweet. We wanted to keep it short so our guests didn’t have to sit through a long and agonizing ceremony!
THE GUEST BOOK: We chose to go with mad lib style cards instead of a traditional guest book.
THE TABLE NUMBERS: Rather than plain table numbers, we made number signs and took photos with our cat & dog.
THE CAKE: We had an entire table of wedding cakes, which was so much fun!
THE FAVORS: Since our hashtag was #Saucey2016 (Sasha + Chauncey = Saucey), we thought it was unique to do mini hot sauce bottles labeled Hot Saucey.
LOOKING BACK: We had the most amazing day and we can say it was the best day of our lives! We had so much fun and being around such amazing people it was impossible not to smile and laugh throughout the day!
ADVICE: Set a realistic budget and don’t let anyone influence your vision of your wedding day!

Catherine & Sean | September 19th | Evergreen, Colorado
This beautiful fall wedding brought together two families to celebrate a couple who have made Colorado their new home. Sean and Catherine said their vows to each other surrounded by a golden Rocky Mountain backdrop. Their reception followed in a rustic red barn with an outdoor bar and lawn games. The couple wanted to infuse the wedding with details from the Colorado landscape that inspires them everyday.
This week’s e-shoot was held on a western Colorado ranch with a stunning mountain backdrop and a cast of furry four-legged friends. Photographer Moments by Melanie beautifully captured the fun-loving couple (Mike & Sara), who plan to marry at this location next year. We can’t wait to see the wedding photos.
